On January 13, the Farzi trailer for Raj and DK's new web series Farzi was released. Raj and DK directed the series, which will be Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi's OTT debut. Shahid Kapoor spoke extensively about becoming a part of Farzi and how he had been interested in working on a series even before it became popular among those in the film industry at the trailer premiere event. In addition, he discussed his collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi.

Shahid Kapoor remarked about his first time working with Vijay Sethupathi, "This is My first time with Vijay sir. I referred to him as Makkal Selvan the first time we released the teaser. I am going to call him Makkal Selvan because he just has the personality, it suits him. It is such a beautiful term. It’s a privilege to work with him. We don’t have too many scenes together, our tracks run parallel and sometimes we cross track. I find his mind so interesting. He’s truly an actor at heart. I wish to do much more work with him, and I wish to learn from him. He’s such a phenomenal artist, it’s a privilege to have him on the show.”

Additionally, Shahid Kapoor disclosed that he was eager to work on a series with Raj and DK before OTT became popular among individuals in the film industry. He stated that "I had considered of Farzi even before the film industry began discussing OTT as an option. It's just that I loved their shows, especially Family Man 1 and 2. I responded, 'Film toh theek hai, show pe kya kar rahe ho?'" when they phoned me for a film.

Shahid Kapoor, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Amol Palekar, Regina Cassandra, and newcomer Bhuvan Arora all play significant roles in Farzi. Farzi, an eight-episode criminal drama with the directors' trademark humour, is a fast-paced, edgy, unique crime thriller that revolves around a cunning street artist's attempt to game the system that rewards the wealthy. The show will start streaming on February 10.
