Fighter's song Ishq Jaisa Kuch, featuring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, is choreographed by Bosco-Caesar
While we are still two days away from 2024, mentally we are all on January 25, 2024, when Fighter hits the big screen. The movie, marking the first collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, has been one of the most anticipated movies for the longest time and is all set to hit the big screen during Republic Day next year. While fans and audiences are enjoying the promotional material, including trailers and songs, Fighter has courted controversy after ace Bollywood choreographer Bosco Martin of the duo Bosco-Caesar called out the makers of the film and Bollywood in general for not giving choreographers their due credit.
Bosco wrote a lengthy note in which he shared a clip of himself dancing to "Ishq Jaisa Kuch," the latest song from Fighter that features Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan dancing in exotic locations. He wrote that in his 22-year career, he has not once seen Bollywood mention the choreographer's name in the promos and song videos. This news reached Hrithik, who, as per reports, had a dialogue with director Siddharth Anand and the makers of the film.
Now, according to Mid Day, Hrithik felt uncomfortable with the row and couldn’t process the fact that credits were being snatched away from choreographers. He had a dialogue with the makers of Fighter, and their names have now been included in the description of the song "Ishq Jaisa Kuch," which now has a choreography section with the names of Bosco-Caesar, Remo D’Souza, and Piyush-Shazia’s included there. This is a welcome change and one that needs to continue.
Meanwhile, Bosco shared this update on his Instagram Story and expressed his love for Hrithik, who jumped in to save the day. Before Hrithik intervened, Bosco wrote, “My oath to the future of choreographers. It’s been 22 years we have been doing choreography and still find it a struggle to put our names on any promotional material of movies. Where the song and dance are celebrated by the nation and also worldwide.”
“But sometimes it’s so sad to say that nobody knows who has choreographed the song till we don’t push our names. Off late we felt the heat when we could not see our names on promotional material of the song where the music director is mentioned and not the choreographer. I guess it’s high time the choreographers should be celebrated,” he added.
Fighter is all set to hit the big screen on January 25, 2024. The film also stars Anil Kapoor alongside Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
