Mystery Series starring Scream’s Neve Campbell canceled by ABC

There is plenty to look forward to this season for fans of TV shows because of the sheer volume of new releases. But unfortunately, it is bad news for the Avalon fans looking forward to the upcoming series starring Scream’s Neve Campbell. The production of the drama has been stopped by ABC, even after the series got a straight-to-series order from the network this February. The series would have followed Michael Connelly’s short story where an L.A. Sheriff Department Detective named Nicole “Nic” Searcy wants to run a small office on Catalina Island.

Taapsee Pannu is making her producer debut with thriller Blurr

Taapsee Pannu is working as a producer for the new suspense thriller, Blurr. Adapted from director Guillem Morales’ Spanish film Julia’s Eyes, the film revolves around twin sisters and Taapsee is set to play a blind woman as well as her twin in a double role. The movie will have a direct OTT release on Zee5 this December. She has also worked on Sujoy Ghosh’s Badlaa which was also a Spanish remake and it is based on The Invisible Guest directed by Oriol Paulo.

SS Rajamouli is already working on his next project with Mahesh Babu

SS Rajamouli is gearing up for his next project after the phenomenal success of RRR. He is set to work with Mahesh Babu and just dropped a major hint about the film that will leave his fans excited. He has confessed that it has been a dream for him to work with Mahesh Babu, and revealed his father is working on the script and also revealed that this new project will be inspired by Indiana Jones.

OTT releases for the week

Wednesday (Netflix) - 23 November

Everyone’s favorite Wednesday Addams from the unconventional Addams Family is back. The Netflix supernatural comedy titled, Wednesday, is set to follow a teen Wednesday Addams and her endeavors in the Nevermore Academy. She attempts to master her psychic ability and get to the bottom of a supernatural mystery that entangled the lives of her parents 25 years ago. She also has to navigate through several new relationships she develops at Nevermore.

Girls Hostel S3 (SonyLIV) - 25 November

This TVF Girliyapa production Girls Hostel takes you to the world of college girls and their crazy adventures in their hostels. The series returns for a third season as the girls set aside their differences by joining forces to fight against the system and management for various injustices. The third season is streaming on Sony LIV from the 25th of November.

Padavettu (Netflix) - 25 November
The Malayalam action thriller, Padavettu, revolves around the life of a lethargic man who blames society for all his troubles. He tries to set things straight and find his true place in the world. Directed and written by Liju Krishna, the movie is set to have its OTT release this week.

Kantara ( Amazon Prime Video) - 24 November
The popular Rishab Shetty directorial, Kantara, is having its OTT debut this month after its colossal success in theatres. The film revolves around the culture of Kambla and Bhootha Kola with Shiva becoming a rebel defending his village and nature. It will be released on Amazon Prime Video on the 24th of November.

Trevor Noah: I wish you would (Netflix) - 22 November
The award-winning comedian and late-night tv show host, Trevor Noah is set to release his third comedy special. This time he entertains the crowd with his stories on learning German, dealing with modern communication, ordering Indian food in Scotland, and judging the characters in horror movies. It's streaming on Netflix from the 22nd of November.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (Disney+Hotstar) - 25 November
The Guardians of the Galaxy is back with a holiday special and shows the gang on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill and head towards Earth in search of the perfect gift for him. Fans have been promised a surprise guest appearance by none other than Kevin Bacon. It is set to release on Disney+Hotstar on the 25th of November.

Chup (Zee5) - 25 November
The bone-chilling thriller revolves around a psychotic killer targeting film critics. One of the questions that arise in this fast-paced movie is the ethics of criticism, and it features a stellar ensemble that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, and Pooja Bhatt. The movie will be available to stream on Zee5 from the 25th of November.
