Simu Liu to Star in Seven Wonders adaptation in the works with Simu Liu in the lead

Ben Mezrich’s popular action-adventure book Seven Wonders, is receiving a series adaptation. Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings star Simu Liu has been added to the cast as Dr. Nate Grady, a botanist and an adventurer. The plot involves Grady partnering with an international fixer named Sloane Seydoux to solve a mystery surrounding the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The series will debut on Prime Video with Justin Lin at the helm.

Nicolas Cage to play the lead role in a survival-action thriller

Hollywood veteran Nicholas Cage, who recently starred in the critically acclaimed film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, is set to star in a new film titled, Sand and Stones. The film will be a survival-action thriller with Cage playing the role of a man living with his twin teenage sons at a remote farmhouse in a post-apocalyptic world.

August Diehl to essay Nazi Doctor Josef Mengele

Josef Mengele, the notorious Nazi doctor called the Angel of Death who experimented on and tortured prisoners in the infamous Auschwitz prison, is set to be portrayed on screen by August Diehl. The upcoming film will be helmed by Russian filmmaker Kirill Serebrennikov and is titled The Disappearance. Diehl has previously appeared in another film about Nazis, the critically acclaimed Quentin Tarantino film Inglourious Basterds. The new film will be based on Olivier Guez's acclaimed novel The Disappearance of Josef Mengele, and it will focus on Mengele’s disappearance into South America evading Mossad agents after the fall of Nazi Germany.

Man of Steel 2 reportedly n the works

Dwayne Johnson recently let it slip that Henry Cavil’s Superman will make his return in Black Adam, releasing this Thursday. Reports have now emerged that Cavil will be involved in a Man of Steel sequel film. It is unlikely that Man of Steel director ZAck Snyder will return to DC to helm a sequel, but Warner Brothers will be keen to bring back a solo Superman film. It is also reported that several other DC projects are in the works with James Gunn and Matt Reeves at the helm.

A Man Called Otto starring Tom Hanks sets 2023 release date

Hollywood legend Tom Hanks who recently starred in Elvis and Pinocchio, is set to star in the drama film A Man Called Otto. The film is based on the best-selling Swedish novel A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. The plot revolves around an old man who is constantly mean to his neighbors and those around him. The film was initially set to release in December this year but it has been pushed to January 13, 2023, for a worldwide release.
