The director has hinted at reviving the long-pending spy thriller with his latest post

It looks like Gautham Menon's long-delayed Dhruva Natchathiram might be revived after all. The director recently dropped a hint about the revival of the project after he shared a couple of pictures with Chiyaan Vikram on his social media page. He captioned it, "The stars will align!" Vikram and Gautham are seen casually posing in those pictures. This has sent the buzz that the spy thriller, which has been lying in the cans, for a while now, will be revived. Fans of the actor dropped comments regarding the same below the pictures.
The film, which is said to be a spy thriller, went on floors in 2016, has been stalled for many years due to financial constraints. The portions were canned in seven countries but the shoot is yet to be wrapped up due to budget issues. Vikram is said to be playing an undercover agent in the film. The star cast includes Vikram, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Simran, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Dhivyadarshini, Vinayakan, Arjun Das, Sathish Krishnan, Salim Baig, Vamsi Krishna to name a few.
Cinematography is by Jomon T John, Santhana Krishnan, Ravichandran and Manoj Paramahamsa. Editing is by Praveen Antony. Music for the film is by Harris Jayaraj.
The director has been trying hard to revive Dhruva Natchathiram for quite some time now, but the shoot is yet to resume. The latest pictures has now triggered the buzz that the shoot will be wrapped up soon and the film will finally see the light of the day. Interestingly, the film was initially planned with Suriya, but the actor walked out of the project, citing creative differences.
In the meantime, Vikram is awaiting the release of Cobra, in which he plays a mathematician. The film is directed Ajay Gnanamuthu and is all set to hit screens on August 31.
