On October 1, the much-awaited trailer of Century Star Shivarajkumar’s Ghost will drop, ahead of the film’s Dasara theatrical outing on October 19. Although director MG Srinivas has been dropping publicity material every now and then, Sunday is when it was thought to go full throttle. But it looks like Srinivas has other ideas. He’s building up the tempo to reach crescendo on October 1, for which he’s got leading man Shivarajkumar to be a part of a MASSIVE social media campaign.

Unlike the standard #Ask campaigns on X that last an hour or two tops, with Ghost, Srinivas and Shivarajkumar are going all out and doing a 100-hour campaign that begins tonight (September 28) at 8 pm and goes on till October 1. The beauty of this campaign, though, is that fans are going to be ensured of personalised responses from the Century Star. Shivarajkumar, as it turns out, will not respond by way of text; instead, the most interesting questions will get video responses from him. All you have to do is use the hashtag: #AskNimmaShivanna and pose your question on X, Facebook or Instagram.

Ghost, which is an action heist thriller, also stars Anupam Kher and Jayaram in pivotal roles. The film will release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, with Shivarajkumar having dubbed in the Kannada, Tamil and Telugu versions. The first of a two-part saga, the story of which transpires in a 48-hour timeframe, will be majorly set inside a prison. Shivarajkumar’s gangster avatar, Big Daddy, will only be about 20% of the narrative.

The film is one of several films eyeing the Dasara box office. On October 19, Ghost will open in theatres in a direct clash with Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo. A day later Rakshit Shetty’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B is expected, but there are rumours that it may get advanced to a later date. Also in theatres will be Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageshwara Rao, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari and Tiger Shroff’s Ganpath, among others.
