Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’s theatrical release is around the corner. This time, the old & new ghostbusters reunite to take down a terrifying new threat, while an ice age threatens the world.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire was announced in April 2022 itself, after the success of Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Though Afterlife’s director Jason Reitman was set to reprise his position, Gil Kenan later took over the helm, sharing credit with Reitman in the writing department. The supernatural comedy premieres in the AMC 13 Theater in New York City on March 14, 2024, before releasing across the United States, from March 22 onward.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire release date and trailer
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will hit Indian theaters on April 19, 2024. The film has also released two trailers and a teaser, aware of the building anticipation among fans for the much-awaited addition to the blooming Ghostbusters franchise. Like the last film, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will follow the adventures of Egon Spengler’s descendants, along with some extra help from the OG ghostbusters.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire follows the modern-day gang of ghostbusters, mainly comprising of Spengler descendants and their friends as they traipse around on supernatural duty. But modern-day safety rules end up legally disbanding the team of ghost fighters, despite them disavowing the move.

Yet, when a strange evil arises with more ambition and ruthlessness than ever before, the team better get ready and fast, as a second ice age is coming. When a never-seen-before crime occurs, with the cause of death solely being death due to fear and petrification, the ghostbusters, old and new, must reunite to save the world from an entire army of specters before it's too late.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton reprising their characters from their earlier films, while Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor, and Logan Kim return to their roles from Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Kumail Nanjiani, Emily Alyn Lind, and Patton Oswalt join the critically acclaimed team to add new vigor and fresh, talented faces.
