Nostalgia runs down your spine faster than any ghost in Frozen Empire, as the original Ghostbusters team—Paul Rudd, Bill Murray, Mckenna Grace, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts—has returned to tackle a frosty foe. Even the animated character Slimer, the mischievous green alien, rejoins the combat with vengeance. You will get to witness the whole gang, older but not wiser, battle for New York City, now gripped by the icy clutches of an ancient artifact's dark magic, soon in the theatres near you.

Is Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire a sequel?

This upcoming comedy-fantasy is said to be the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021). The film had collected over $200 million at the box office worldwide, despite the heinous ongoing pandemic. Hence, it is considered a box office hit.

Why was The Ghostbusters film made?

For the uninitiated, a scientific spark ignited Dan Aykroyd's imagination for Ghostbusters. A thought-provoking article on quantum physics and parapsychology in the American Society of Psychical Research Journal, followed by a classic ghost comedy like Ghost Chasers, fueled him to create the iconic film franchise.

What does the trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire show?

The trailer for Frozen Empire shows us a reunion of the iconic team, their proton packs getting renewed with decades of experience. A new ancient artefact unleashes a monstrous enemy, forcing them to team up with a fresh crew of spectral warriors. You will also get a glimpse of Slimer's mischievous cameo, the cherry on top of this fantastic and action-packed reunion.

We also get a sneak peek at Walter Peck, who used to work for the government and was a pain for the Ghostbusters. The role was played by William Atherton in the first film of Ghostbusters in 1984. He is back to make trouble again, but the Ghostbusters won't let him stop them. They are ready to blast ghosts with their proton packs and save New York from a spooky invasion.

What to expect?

The trailer also hints at all kinds of ghosts—some scary, some new, others like Slimer and the scary library ghost—that we are already aware of. There is even a big, horned monster and a dragon living in the sewers. To fight all these ghosts, the Ghostbusters get in their famous car, the Ectomobile, and zoom around the city. It's going to be a wild ride!
