What are you doing today? Are you planning to celebrate 'Gudi Padwa'?
Actually, I am at a dubbing studio today dubbing for a film…
What are your fond memories related to the festival?
I remember... that, as a child, my neighbour who was a Maharashtrian would give us ‘puran polis’.
Do you follow the Gudi Padwa rituals?
Today, the main ritual was to entertain my social media family before leaving to dubbing. I'm dubbing for a very exciting project. I felt so grateful that I got the opportunity, all thanks to my audience. So, I thought that I would entertain them before I left. That’s why I made a video of a Marathi poem and put it up for them on social media. Please do have a look!
Since it's an auspicious day, can we see you wearing the traditional nauvari saree and other accessories like jewellery?
Physically… I can't right now. But, mentally yes! (laughs heartily)
Has anyone gifted you anything on Gudi Padwa? If yes, then what?
No yaa… not yet. If anyone wants to gift… please send your gifts… Iam waiting!
Have you gifted anything to anyone on Gudi Padwa? If yes, then what?
The gift of love! (smiles)
What special food will you be making for the occasion?
Lots and lots of chawli…
Gudi Padwa marks auspicious beginnings. What are you planning to start on this day?
I'm going to practice walking on water!
What do you do if you are away from your home during the festival?
I close my eyes and use my imagination to pretend I'm home with family!
If you had to make a wish on ‘Gudi Padwa’ for you or anyone in your life, what would that be and for whom would you wish for?
Triumph of good over evil coming true would be the best wish. But, my might then destroy all humanity though.
