Adam Sandler’s 'Happy Gilmore 2' Confirmed

The sequel to Happy Gilmore has been anticipated by fans for a very long time and now the time has come as the sequel has been officially announced by Netflix. It's time to relieve one of his memorable characters of the 1996 golf season on the streaming platform. The film was written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy and is about an ice hockey player who wins professional golf tournaments when he finds out he can use his rage to win.

Earlier, on the Dan Patrick Show, Adam revealed that the film was in progress. He said, “Dude, we’ve been talking about a Happy 2 and we’re working on some stuff… But don’t tell anybody.”

He was quoted as saying by Variety, "I saw Adam [Sandler] about two weeks ago, and he says to me, ‘McDonald, you’re gonna love this,’” McDonald said. “I said, ‘What?’ He says, ‘How about that,’ and he shows me the first draft of ‘Happy Gilmore 2.’ Maybe you should cut that out [of this audio] because I don’t wanna be a liar, but he did show me that, and I thought, ‘Well, that would be awesome.’ So, it’s in the works. Fans demand it, dammit!”
