Sudhakar has been battling cancer for a long time and Rajinikanth had provided him financial aid

Superstar Rajinikanth's dear friend and former fan club president VM Sudhakar lost his battle with ill health and passed away today. The Jailer actor took to his social media handle to express his grief and pay condolences to his family. His tweet in Tamil translates to, "I am deeply saddened by the passing away of my dear friend VM Sudhakar. My deepest condolences to his family and all who are bereaved. May his soul rest in peace.”
It is said that Sudhakar was diagnosed with cancer in his kidney and that Rajinikanth was providing him financial aid for the same. Sudhakar had revealed the same on his social media handle that Rajinikanth was taking care of all the expenses. He added that he will be grateful to the actor for providing financial, emotional and moral support during the testing times.
On the work front, Rajinikanth is currently busy shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer. The actor will be playing a jailer and his character is titled Muthuvel Pandian. A special glimpse was released on the occasion of the actor's birthday on December 12. The film will also mark the debut of Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar in the Tamil film industry, who will be later seen in Dhanush's Captain Miller as well. The rest of the star cast of Jailer includes Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan and Vasanth Ravi. Now we hear that Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal, too, has done a special appearance in the film. Anirudh has scored the music.
Rajinikanth will also be doing a cameo in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's upcoming film, Laal Salaam, which will star Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead. The film revolves around cricket and has music by AR Rahman. While Vishnu Rangasamy will handle the cinematography, editing will be by Pravin Baskar.The film is being produced by Lyca Productions.
