Here's when Fahadh Faasil will join the shooting of Udhayanidhi, Keerthy Suresh's Maamannan

The announcement of Maamannan a few months ago made Tamil film buffs excited, thanks to its cast and crew. The film is Mari Selvaraj's third outing after Pariyerum Perumal (streaming on Zee5) and Karnan (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). Udhayanidhi and Keerthy Suresh play lead roles in the movie which has Fahadh Faasil essaying an important character. 

None other than AR Rahman has been roped in to compose music for the project which marks Vadivelu's comeback after a few years. There were reports that the film will be different from the first two projects of Mari in terms of treatment.

The shooting of Maamannan had kicked off a while ago with its principal cast, including Vadivelu. A picture of him posing for photos with the crew went viral sometime ago. However, Fahadh Faasil was yet to join the team. According to reliable sources, the talented Mollywood actor will start shooting for his portion from May 20.

This will be his third outing in Tamil after Mohan Raja's Velaikkaran (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) and Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Super Deluxe (streaming on Netflix) which were released in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Movie buffs are looking forward to knowing what would be the character offered to Fahadh.

This is the first time AR Rahman is composing for a film which has Udhayanidhi playing the protagonist. Santhosh Narayanan was the composer for the first two movies of Mari. Interestingly, the Academy Award winning musician is the composer for Fahadh's upcoming Malayalam project Malayan Kunju as well.

Maamannan brings together Fahadh and Keerthy, too, for the first time. The project is expected to hit the screens later this year. Udhayanidhi had recently surprised everyone by saying that this will be his last movie as an actor. He will be focusing completely on politics after the completion of the film.
