Rajinikanth fans are over the moon with announcements of back to back updates on the star's forthcoming film Annaatthe which is all set to hit the screens on November 4. Directed by Siva, the film features a stellar cast, including Nayanthara, Khushbu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, Soori, Sathish, Abhimanyu Singh and George Maryan among others.

The team had recently released two singles from the movie, Annaatthe Annaatthe and Saaral Kaattrae. The former, an intro song, was the last song sung by the legendary SPB while the latter, a melody, had voice lent by Sid Sriram and Shreya Ghoshal.

There were reports that the much-awaited trailer of the movie will release any time soon. Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the project, announced on Monday evening that they will unveil the film's teaser on October 14, at 6pm. The tweet "Arangam Mulukka therikka therikka! #AnnaattheTeaser is releasing on October 14 @ 6 PM" posted by the Twitter handle of the production house also released a new still from the film, featuring the Superstar in a mass avatar. Wielding a rod in his right hand, Rajini is seen dressed in red shirt and a veshti while a few injured baddies are seen lying on the floor.

The background of the still indicates that the fight sequence takes place in Kolkata. The motion poster of the movie which was released earlier, too, had dropped hints that major sequences of Annaatthe happen at Kolkata. The poster had the star riding a bullet bike which had West Bengal registration number plate.

Interestingly, the motion poster reminded of Siva's earlier film Viswasam while the latest still reminds us of the climax scene in the director's Vedalam. Like the previous projects of Siva, Annaatthe is also releasing on a festive occasion.
