IND vs BAN 1st Test Highlights: Done and dusted, India win 1st Test by 188 runs

India wrap up the match in 50 minutes on Day 5. Siraj started the day after he nipped out Mehidy and Shakib, who went after the Indian bowlers was eventually castled by Kuldeep Yadav for 84. 

Bangladesh's tail did not last long and the visitors have taken a 1-0 lead in this two-match Test series.

The final wicket of Bangladesh falls as Taijul Islam gets out for 4. He gets beaten on the inside edge and the ball crashes into the sticks. Four wickets in the innings for Axar!

It was a length ball from Kuldeep Yadav and the ball spun away to beat the bat and crash into the middle-stump.

Just the start India needed! He had got a boundary against the same bowler earlier, but this time it went in favour of Siraj. The ball hit off the outer part of the bat and it's a dolly for Umesh at backward point.

While India have been made to toil hard, the side did get some breakthroughs after the storing opening stand.

If the Men in Blue manage to break the Shakid Al Hasan-Mehidy Hasan Miraz partnership early on on Day 5, they could manage to win the game by lunch.

The morning sessions had gone in favour of the hosts, but post lunch, Umesh Yadav managed to get the breakthrough as he induced a loose shot from Shanto. The hosts had lost two more wickets before tea with Yasir falling to Axar. The spinner had even gone on to take 2 wickets in an over.

After getting Mushfiqur bowled, Axar got the better of Nurul Hasan as well. 2 wickets in an over for the spinner.

A lovely delivery from Axar to nip out Mushfiqur. Mushfiqur stayed back and plays for the angle, but the ball spun and beats the outside edge to crash into the off-stump.

As for Nurul Hasan, he was stumped. Pant is confident of the stumping and the appeal is sent upstairs. The ball spins away to go past the outside edge and Pant is quick to collect and break the sticks. Thr batter has nothing behind the line when the bails are lit. This was wicket number three for Axar.

After missing the first catch, Kohli makes no mistake this time. The ball hits the bat-pad but the ball is taken at slip by Kohli. Zakir Hasan walks. Hundred and out as Ashwin gets his first wicket of the game.

Indian bowlers have tried all the variations they could to get wickets as now Bangladesh need 394 runs.

He'll be eager to convert this into a big score.

Bangladesh openers played good after India declared their innings. While the target is mammoth, it is known that on a flat pitch, batter prevail and bowlers suffer.

But it is not far enough and the deep mid-wicket fielder runs in and takes a tumbling catch.

After the narrow escape Nurul had, Kuldeep Yadav got his man.

He tried to go back in his crease to work it away with the spin into the leg-side. However, it was a legbreak from a length and Gill showed excellent reflexes at short leg to take a sharp catch to his right.

Kuldeep Yadav was on attack mode but it was a narrow escape for Nurul! Had this been given out by the on-field umpire, the decision would have stayed. 

Fortunately for him, umpire Michael Gough was not convinced. Ball tracking showed it to be clipping leg stump. 

However, more drama continued. The Men in Blue want to check if there was a catch and the replay showed the ball, after lobbing up off the pad, was close to the bat and there seemed to be a murmur on UltraEdge at that point.

However, the evidence was not conclusive enough for the third umpire to consider it as an edge. 

The move to introduce Kuldeep Yadav ahead of Axar has worked. Kuldeep got the wicket of skipper Shakib Al Hasan. Thick outside edge and it is safely at slip into the hands of Virat Kohli.

Siraj's fun with the ball comes to an end as he departed after smashing a boundary. No timing at all and Siraj picked out long-on perfectly. 

India have been bowled out for 404, which after the way they played on Day 1 did not even look possible.

Ashwin-Kuldeep added 92 runs for the 8th wicket surely frustrated Bangladesh. Howver, with both out, Umesh Yadav and Siraj don't look to play defence.

Kuldeep Yadav looked set to smash his firt half-century, however, he would have to be ok with the 40 his scored as he was given out Lbw.

It was an easy decision for the umpire and and even Kuldeep knew he was a goner, but he still went for the DRS which showed he was out.

He and R Ashwin did contribute widely at the lower-order.
