After the end of the Sri Lankan series, India will now jump straight to face New Zealand at home. The Men in Blue will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and as many T20Is against the Kiwis.
After a 3-0 clean sweep of Sri Lanka, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will want to extend their winning streak when they face the number one ICC-ranked ODI team. However, it will not be an easy task as New Zealand just defeated Pakistan 2-1 in an ODI series.
India, to prepare for the upcoming World Cup 2023, traveled to New Zealand, Bangladesh, and even hosted Sri Lanka. Now the Kiwis are here to play three more ODIs and the Men in Blue will then face Australia before the IPL kicks off.
The Indian side will have Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli but will miss KL Rahul and Axar Patel owing to being on leave. Adding to the injury list, the side will also miss Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja.
Squads:
India Squad: Rohit Sharma(c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan(w), Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umran Malik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Srikar Bharat, Shahbaz Ahmed, Rajat Patidar
