The upcoming project of filmmaker Rohit Shetty's cop universe unfolds in the web series Indian Police Force, and the trailer, released on Friday afternoon, provides a glimpse into the action. The opening scenes suggest an attack on Delhi, with Indian Police Force members Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi determined to apprehend the perpetrator. The trio forms a formidable team, but tensions arise when Sidharth starts making crucial decisions independently, causing friction among the teammates. With the public questioning the police, especially as they discover the unidentified vigilante won't stop at Delhi, internal conflicts are set aside as the trio unites to embark on a compelling hunt.
Sidharth Malhotra praises Rohit Shetty
Addressing a press conference today after the launch of the Indian Police Force trailer, Sidharth narrated why he craved to be a part of the Rohit Shetty project.
He said, “This is a special day for me. For the film promotions, I get a chance to wear a uniform. An Indian Police Force uniform. Not only this, but I earned a chance to work with Rohit Shetty via this project. He (Rohit Shetty) has larger-than-life sensibilities. Nobody presents Hindi film heroes the way Rohit sir does. I had been chasing him for many years to collaborate with him. About two years ago I got a chance to meet him.”
“Sir said to me that he was planning to make something from the Copy Universe. I said ‘Great’! He then said that the project would be for OTT. I said ‘Oh’. But when he showed me his vision and when I heard the story, I felt that the story speaks for itself. The trailer speaks for itself. It is nothing short of a Hindi Cinema Entertainment,” Sidharth said.
Sidharth wrapped up the conversation by saying, “Also, I love playing real-life heroes on screen. So, the Indian Police Force and my character Kabir Malik in it is nothing short of that. I am eagerly looking forward to the 19th of January. I hope you all watch the series and celebrate the charisma of real-life heroes.”
Indian Police Force will be released on January 19 on Amazon Prime Video.
