As announced earlier, ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam has unveiled the first look posters of Iravin Nizhal, which has been directed by actor-filmmaker Parthiban. The latter himself stars in the lead role in the movie which is billed as the world's first non-linear single shot movie.

One of the posters has Parthiban, who is seen standing near an old, mysterious temple, pointing a flashlight towards someone, while the second poster has him crying helplessly even as someone who is peculiarly dressed as a Goddess standing behind him points a gun on his forehead.

Mani Ratnam released the posters through the Twitter account of his production house, Madras Talkies. They also released a video which has AR Rahman, who has composed music for the film, talking about working for the movie and collaborating with Parthiban. The duo was supposed to work together for a project, titled Yelelo long ago, but it didn't materialize.

Rahman said that it was the script of Iravin Nizhal and Parthiban's passion to try new things which made him come on board for this unique attempt.

He said, "The film has an interesting script and I was intrigued when he approached me with it. He is a passionate filmmaker and an actor; I was fascinated with his vision and hard work. He is always open to attempting new things."

The Academy Award winning composer said that he was impressed with what he saw on screen and was motivated by it. "I was glad to see that he achieved so many different things with the film. From its rehearsal to what I saw on screen, it was a complete quantum shift. He is a very interesting artist to work with." Apart from Rahman, the movie has two more Academy Award winning technicians, Craig Mann (sound designer) and Cottalango Leon (VFX supervisor).
