Is Raima Sen teaming up with Sahana Dutta for a Hoichoi web series?

Is Raima Sen getting back on Bengali OTT? The actress is known to be selective about Bengali films. However, she is a regular in several Bollywood films and series. Raima has played a significant role in Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Vaccine War, released last month. It is also rumored that she might work in the new film Bastar made by Sudipta Sen of The Kerala Story fame. Now, according to a report by Anandabazar Online, Raima will team up with maker Sahana Dutta once again for a web series.

Raima has acted in the Bengali series Hello and Raktakarabi. Recently, she was offered the protagonist’s role in a series. The series, named Kalanka, is being made by Sahana Dutta for Hoichoi. Recently, Hoichoi announced a series of upcoming projects. Sahana's projects include the new seasons of Indu, Govir Joler Mach, and Gora.

However, the makers did not want to reveal anything about Kalanka. They only released the poster. According to the sources, Raima agreed to work on the series. The theme is not yet known. Sahana generally deals with women's liberation. Hence, it can be assumed that the series will be of the same theme. The shooting will start after Puja.
