Is SHINee's Taemin's 'GUILTY' a copy of BTS' V's 'LAYOVER'? ARMY say only Yeontan is missing

SHINee's Taemin is gearing up for the release of his second solo album, 'GUILTY,' set to launch on October 30. While Shawols are buzzing with excitement about the upcoming release, observant BTS fans, known as ARMY, have pointed out some striking similarities between 'GUILTY' and BTS member Kim Taehyung's solo album, "LAYOVER."

Kim Taehyung, also known as V, unveiled his solo album on September 8, 2023, and it was presented with a mailbox-themed concept. When announcing the album on Instagram, V wrote, "I'm sending them to every house with the desire I want to deliver them to you (person bowing deeply emoji)"

What further stirred ARMY's reactions is the fact that both V and Taemin have a track titled "BLUE" in their respective albums. 

While Shawols argued that the term 'blue' is a common element in music and can be used by any artist, ARMY members were reminded of a previous incident where some Shawols criticized BTS' Park Jimin for having an album named "FACE," which happened to be the title of one of SHINee's Key's albums as well.

ARMY, expressed their thoughts on X (formerly known as Twitter), highlighting the striking resemblances between these two albums, both released within months of each other. 

One notable absence they humorously pointed out is the absence of a dog. This observation is related to V's album, which prominently featured his pet dog, Yeontan, in various aspects, including album artwork and music videos.

BTS' V "LAYOVER":

Kim Taehyung of BTS, who made a remarkable solo debut with his album "LAYOVER," has treated fans to two exciting remixes of his lead single, "Slow Dancing." BIGHIT MUSIC announced the remix releases via their official X profile, and the two remix versions are as follows:

1. Slow Dancing (FRNK Remix): This remix introduces an Afro rhythm, infusing a danceable vibe into the original track.

2. Slow Dancing (Cautious Clay Remix): An instrumental remix that adds a unique and lively dimension, emphasizing various instruments such as the flute, keyboard, and drums.

V's album, "LAYOVER," included two photobooks, a lyric book, two postcards, five photo cards, the album CD, a poster, a checklist, and a letter written by V himself.

SHINee Taemin's album GUILTY:

SHINee's Taemin is gearing up for a comeback with his upcoming album, "GUILTY," set to be released on October 30. The official channel has already unveiled teaser images and concept mood videos to build anticipation.

In his new mini-album, Taemin seeks to capture the complex emotions of love. The album consists of six tracks, with the title track sharing the same name as the album, "Guilty."
