It's official: Dhanush's adventurous action flick with Arun Matheswaran has been titled Captain Miller

We had told you a few months ago that Captain Miller is the title under consideration for Dhanush's project with Arun Matheswaran. The makers have now made it official. Sathya Jyothi Films, which is bankrolling the project, has announced the same through their social media pages.

They released a one-minute announcement video which revealed a vague appearance of Dhanush from the movie. He's seen riding a two-wheeler with his face covered and a gun hiding behind his back. He's accompanied by a few other bikers, too. Billed as an adventurous action thriller, its story is said to be set in the 1930s-40s.

Madhan Karky is writing dialogues for the film which will have music by GV Prakash. The latter has scored music for Dhanush's last outing Maaran and upcoming bilingual film Vaathi. Shreyaas Krishna handles cinematography for Captain Miller which will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Nagooran has been roped in to edit the ambitious project for which T Ramalingam has been brought on board to helm art direction. Dhilip Subbarayan will be in charge of action sequences while Poornima Ramasamy and Kavya Sriraam have joined hands to handle costume designing for the movie.

Dhanush's last outing Maaran, which had a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar, was also bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films. Captain Miller has been planned as a theatrical release in summer 2023. The announcement of Dhanush and Arun joining hands was made around the time the latter's directorial debut Rocky was released last year.

The filmmaker expressed his excitement on social media then, and Dhanush reciprocated by replying that he is even more excited for the combination. Arun's previous project was Sani Kaayidham which was directly released on Amazon Prime Video a couple of months ago.
