In a surprising turn of events, Jackie Shroff revealed the reason and motive behind his one-word text message ‘Bhidu’ on social media that he sent to actress Ananya Panday. The veteran actor reflected upon his playful nature and how he wanted to be friends with the young actors. Here’s all that he said and disclosed about his ‘bachpana.’
During a recent conversation with Humans of Bombay, Jackie Shroff revealed that his motive for the ‘Bhidu’ and ‘Bas Mein Hoon’ texts were to ascertain that he is there for Ananya and he even called her ‘dost ka bachcha’ (Friend’s child).

What was the ‘Bhidu’ incident
Ananya Panday, who is currently basking in the success of her digital release, ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ on Netflix, narrated a humorous incident with Jackie Shroff that began all this Bhidu incident. During one of the promotional events with podcast hosts Tanmay Bhatt and Rohan Joshi, the actress recalled how the veteran star once slipped into her Instagram DMs (Direct Messages) and texted her ‘Bhidu,’ Then Ananya Panday had replied, what’s up sir, which he had left on seen. This piqued her interest and the next time when she met him at the movie screening, Panday again asked Shroff about the text and he replied in the coded message, “I just wanted to tell you ki main hoon.”

The Aaina actor was quoted saying to HOB, “It was just to let her know that I am always there. Mere dost ka baccha hai. (She is my friend’s kid). All these kids are my friends. Their fathers aren’t my friends. They were at one time,” as he described the reason why he called Ananya in the messages and unveiled the coded message in a sweet twist. The Mast Mein Rehna Ka actor also added that he likes to sing, dance, and party like these young actors and also seemed disappointed that his aged friends don’t party anymore. He adored his playfulness and said, “My childhood hasn’t gone. Mera bachpana nahi gaya hai.”
Meanwhile, Ananya Panday had previously penned a heartfelt post, sharing a throwback picture with Jackie Shroff to highlight the fangirl moment since 1998.
