Janhvi Kapoor believes a phenomenon like Sridevi can happen only 'once in a blue moon'

Janhvi Kapoor is enthusiastically promoting her forthcoming release Good Luck Jerry, that’s set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29. Janhvi, the daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, recently spoke with GoodTime about her mother, whom she claims was one of the first pan-Indian celebrities in the industry.

The interviewer, while talking about Sridevi's fame, asked Janhvi if she could come to terms with the popularity of her mother. "I don't think anyone can really. But of course, I get a sense of it when I see her films and when I see people talking so passionately about her," she said. Jahnvi said she wasn’t exactly around her mother when she was on sets.

Janhvi, a phenomenon like Sridevi can't happen twice, having observed the sensitivity her mother brought to her performances and the attention she commanded through her work. “She is an anomaly. What she has given to our country and to the world, through her artistry, is unparalleled and I think it happens only once in a blue moon.”

Janhvi, on the other hand, recently appeared alongside Sara Ali Khan in the seventh season of one of the most popular talk shows, Koffee with Karan. Ever since they made an appearance on the show, the actresses have hogged the limelight for their comments. Good Luck Jerry, Janhvi's forthcoming film, is an adaptation of the Tamil film Kolamavu Kokila, which features Nayanthara.

She also plays the lead role in the cricket drama Mr. And Mrs. Mahi, alongside Rajkummar Rao. Besides, she is a part of Bawaal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Varun Dhawan.
