Jawan prevue: Here's why Shah Rukh Khan is not the only star of this terrific teaser

The teaser of Jawan, starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, defied all expectations, delivering a mind-blowing experience on multiple levels. While director Atlee seems to draw inspiration from various sources, the teaser offers a glimpse into a terrific action movie. While SRK and the various shades of his character steal the show, editor Ruben emerges as the true hero of the Jawan prevue, seamlessly keeping the action flowing.

The teaser presents a strong narrative flow, akin to a relay runner passing a baton, creating an uninterrupted stream of action that heightens the excitement surrounding the film. The anticipation around Jawan was already sky-high, and this teaser adds a new dimension of thrill and intrigue.

Exploiting colours, drama, and style, the Jawan prevue perfectly complements Shah Rukh Khan's larger-than-life screen image. What makes the teaser even more captivating is the fact that you don't know exactly what's happening, but you're eager to find out. The ambiguity surrounding SRK's character becomes the main suspense of the narrative— is he a hero or a villain? This existential question, deeply resonating with Tamil movie fans, echoes Mani Ratnam's classic Nayakan and the moral crises that Kamal Haasan's characters have grappled with in many films.

The teaser leaves us speculating about the protagonist's true identity— is he a police officer, a soldier, or a maniac terrorising an entire city? Although SRK claims to be the villain, there's a strong possibility that we might find ourselves rooting for his character's devious plans to succeed.

Atlee seems to have brought his A-game to his debut Hindi venture, Jawan.
