Kamal Haasan and Udhayanidhi who teamed up for Vikram are back again for another project. The latter had bagged the theatrical rights of the former's biggest hit Vikram which was released more than a month ago. Kamal was all praise for Udhay's efforts in promoting the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial effectively across Tamil Nadu.
Now, the Ulaganayagan has sprung a surprise, leaving his fans and Udhayanidhi elated. At an event which was held in Chennai to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Udhay's production house Red Giant Movies, Kamal announced that the actor-politician will play the lead in one of his forthcoming production ventures to be bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films International.
This unexpected announcement has left many baffled as Udhay had revealed recently that his upcoming project, Maamannan, directed by Mari Selvaraj will be his last movie as an actor. Movie buffs are now curious to know more details about Udhay's project with RKFI which happens to be the production house's 54th film. An excited Udhay took to Twitter to thank Kamal for the opportunity.
RKFI's immediate project will be Sivakarthikeyan-starrer untitled film which has Rajkumar Periyasamy at its helm. Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play the female lead in the movie which has been tentatively titled SK 21.
Kamal's next project, which is considered to be the controversial Indian 2, is now being revived with the help of Udhayanidhi. Lyca Productions is bankrolling the movie which was stalled a while ago after its producers and director Shankar had a fall out.
In all probability, the big budget, much-awaited sequel will be Ulaganayagan's next release. It is heard that the movie will go on floors again later this year, after which Kamal is expected to join Mahesh Narayanan's untitled project.
