KBC 14 promo: Reading poetry to surprising hot seat contestants, watch Amitabh Bachchan become wish fulfilling genie on ‘Asha Abhilasha’ week

Time and again, Amitabh Bachchan has earned the love and respect showered upon him by viewers, as host of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The veteran actor’s wit, charm and thoughtfulness shine through in every episode, and the host had a very special treat in store for viewers this week on the show. This week, Amitabh took on the role of wish fulfilling genie on KBC, delightfully going about and fulfilling each and every wish of the contestants on the hot seat.

A new promo for the upcoming episodes give a glimpse into how Big B went about fulfilling the contestants’ wishes as part of the ‘Asha Abhilasha’ week on KBC 14. While one contestant wished for his father to be on the hotseat, another video called his father and gave Big B a gift from the elderly man. A lady requested Big B to sing one of her poems, while another asked the host to line walk with her. Big B fulfilled each and every wish with a big smile on his face. One of the biggest gifts came for a Sachin Tendulkar fan, as the contestant was played a special video message from the cricketer.

The promo was shared by Sony Television on their official Instagram handle, with the caption, “KBC ka manch iss hafte hoga 'asha abhilasha' se bhara, @amitabhbachchan karenge contestants ki har khwaahish ko poora!”.

Amitabh’s hosting abilities is widely considered to be one of the reasons for the show’s huge popularity. Big B has hosted the popular quiz show for 13 out of its 14 seasons. Shah Rukh Khan had taken over for Big B as host for the third season of the show.
