Killer Soup OTT release date - When and where to watch Manoj Bajpayee-Konkona Sen’s dark comedy series?

Netflix is ready to welcome the new year with warm wintry stews and deadly murder plots. It will be the premiering platform for Killer Soup, a dark comedy series by Abhishek Chaubey, from January 11, 2024, onwards. Netflix also dropped a teaser as well as a behind-the-scenes announcement video that offers a brilliant peek into the processes of the actors portraying the quirky and grey characters of Killer Soup.

The film stars the talented likes of Manoj Bajpayee, Konkona Sen Sharma, Nasser, Shayaji Shinde and Lal in this intriguing murder thriller that is both gastronomical, and astronomical in its humorous capacity.

Killer Soup, or just Soup (its alternate title) follows the tale of Swathi Shetty, an aspiring, house chef, who does not hesitate to alter her cooking strategies or husband, as and when required to spruce up a tasteless existence. She cooks up an uncommonly bizarre plan, of replacing her husband Prabhakar, with her lover Umesh.

However, even fate refuses to let such unnatural concoctions past the gate easily as a bumbling local cop and amateur villains enter the story to thicken the broth of what promises to be a killer soup, literally and otherwise.

While talking about the series, director-cum-screenplay writer Abhishek Chaubey shared in a statement how he wanted the series to give the audience a chance to laugh as well as be bamboozled by a crime thriller that is brimming with gory murders and quirky humor. He called the series “a potboiler sent completely over the top with an exceptional cast.”

The Director of Series of Netflix India, Tanya Bami also disclosed their reasons for letting Killer Soup start the new year for the streaming giant. First, the show belongs to a currently trending genre that is loved by the audience, the crime thriller. And second, Killer Soup is a show that is told to perfection by Abhishek Chaubey and his team.

The third reason being the stellar performances by audience favorites Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sen Sharma. With three such solid reasons, Tanya Bami confessed that they cannot wait to take the audience on another breathtaking adventure in 2024.
