Kirtan 2: Two actors join Gourab Chatterjee and Arunima Ghosh’s comedy, here is what we know

The film Kirtan, directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee, was released last September. The story of a married couple and the father-in-law, presented as a comedy, won the audience’s hearts. While it did not do well at the box office, it got a huge response on TV. It is heard that the makers have decided to make a sequel, which involves a surprise. 

Arunima Ghosh and Gourab Chatterjee played the couple in Kirtan and Paran Bandyopadhyay played the father-in-law. Now, the production house has started preparations for the sequel. The makers had a meeting on Monday regarding the script. This time, two more actors will be there to increase the amount of laughter. Anirban Chakraborty and Labani Sarkar will play two important roles. However, the makers do not want to divulge any information regarding this. 

The parliamentary election starts this month. But the makers do not want to delay starting the film’s work. The shooting is supposed to start by the end of April. However, if the work does not go as planned, then the shooting might be postponed to May. 

In Kirtan, Arunima’s acting was praised by the audience. Arunima previously told the media, ‘Gourab is a wonderful person. My director is also fabulous. We became like friends. People can connect me with the character I am playing. And working with Paran Bandyopadhyay is a wonderful experience.” Now it remains to see how the new characters’ equation works out in the sequel.
