Koffee With Karan 8: Ananya Pandey yearns for validation, respect from fans as she appears with Sara Ali Khan in Episode 3, claims being “best friends” with Aditya Roy Kapur

Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday graced the iconic Koffee with Karan couch in their glamorous outfits. Decked up in red and black for the chatty evening, both actresses look stunning as they appear in the third episode of Koffee with Karan Season 8 after sibling duo Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh made headlines as star guests of the popular chat show.

Today’s episode was highly anticipated after the teaser video highlighted Sara Khan’s thrift shopping addiction a nd Ananya Pandey’s mysterious dating life.  In the candid conversation that revolved from Ananya Pandey’s secret relationship to Sara Ali Khan’s Shubman Gill romance rumors, the actresses gave a glimpse of their fun banter with mutual friends, former lovers, and their current relationship statuses. During one such discussion, Karan Johar addressed Ananya Pandey’s constant urge for validation as an actor and how she deals with negativity around her career and choices.

Ananya Pandey blushes over Aditya Roy Kapur’s mention

Karan Johar initiated the lively conversation about Ananya Pandey’s love life and the actress seemed to break her fans’ hearts as she zipped her mouth over her dating life. When asked if she is denying it, she said that she would like to keep some things private as they are special and should be kept that way. While accepting that the two are really good friends.

However, during a fun game of Alphabets, Ananya Pandey is caught by Sara Ali Khan blushing and she rubbishes the claim by saying there’s too much blush on her face, how CUTE!

When Karan Johar wittingly tried to include Ananya Pandey in Aditya Roy Kapur’s name by saying that their name will be ARKP, which roughly makes KRAP, she quickly responded that it would be PARK, followed by Sara Ali Khan’s FLAMES game reference. However, despite having such light-hearted blushing moments, Ananya Pandey keeps her private relationship game strong by not disclosing much about her current dating scenario, leaving fans dangling with doubts and curiosity about the alleged couple’s dating scene.

Ananya Pandey reveals her career objective

The 25-year-old expressed her concern over the cons of growing up in the industry and how some remarks like “struggling Dad” got stuck with people. When host Karan Johar asked the Student of the Year 2 actress how she reacts and feels when the validation and respect she might deserve get halted in the way because of certain past round table discussions, citing Siddhant Chaturvedi’s impromptu remark, the actress responded quite maturely by saying, “I don’t want to sound like I am victimizing myself saying, Oh, it’s so tough for me. It’s tough for everyone. It’s not easy for anyone in the business no matter what stage they are in. But it does get tough because I think all I every worked for is validation.”

She also opened up about being her father’s daughter and how much it means for her to prove her worth and skills to her father, to the fans, and the entertainment industry. “In every aspect of my life, I’ve just wanted love from people and that’s something I worked for all the time.” She further revealed how much she yearns for respect from people and how the young actress is working with dedication towards her goal. “I want validation as a good actor and I do want people to think I’m worthy of the opportunities that I have gotten.”

The Dream Girl 2 actress is hopeful that she will get there eventually as she is working towards it. She also addressed her side of the story over her previous viral remark, which culminated in many memes on social media when she stated that her dad struggled in life as he had never been on KWK.

Pandey revealed how the unsettling remarks troubled her previously but now she is at peace with the whole thing and joked about the lack of coordination between her mind and mouth as she ends up speaking something else while she means something else.
