Kolonko: Ritwick Chakraborty to play Raima Sen’s husband in the Hoichoi series

It has already been reported that Raima Sen is teaming up with creator Sahana Dutta once again in Hoichoi’s web series Kolonka. The show will be directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee. Raima will play the character of the lead – Chaiti – a mother and wife. Now, it has been confirmed that Ritwick Chakraborty will play the character of Rangan – Chaiti’s husband. The makers have revealed Rangan’s look.

The story delves into the life of Chaiti and Rangan who were college best friends and are now married and parents to two children. The deal for their progressive and happy married life was to always be transparent and truthful to each other even if they had any flings with someone else. They had a deal that none of them would lie to each other, even if they fell in love with somebody else. Truth and friendship come first. But as they stand at the 20th year of their married life, the truth starts becoming unbearable to Chaiti eventually as Rangan tells Chaiti that he has fallen for someone else. Along with this deal breaker, there is a sudden death.

Raima has worked with Sahana in Hello! On Hoichoi. The show started in 2017 is considered to be one of the oldest shows on the platform. Meanwhile, Ritwick is a regular face on Hoichoi. His association with Sahana through Gora is one of the most successful shows. Besides, Ritwick has also worked in Mr Kolketa. He will soon team up with Anirban Chakrabarti in Joydeep Mukherjee’s courtroom drama, Achinta Aich, in which he will play the main role.
