Kota Bommali PS is a new age cop thriller with a novel presentation, says Shivani Rajasekhar

Kota Bommali PS is slated to be released in theatres on November 24, 2023. The cop drama is the official remake of the Malayalam hit Nayattu. Shivani Rajasekhar, the daughter of Tollywood stars Rajasekhar and Jeevitha, plays the female lead in the film. She plays a cop and says that Kota Bommali is an intense action drama that will suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audience.

Speaking about the film, Shivani said, "The basic theme of the film is the same, but a lot of changes have been made to the remake. A powerful political angle has been added to the setup and my role is key to the film". When asked if it was difficult to play a cop, Shivani said, "Perhaps it is in my genes, since acting comes naturally to me. I never prepared for the role and went on set with a free mind. I just followed my director Teja Marini's instructions."

Speaking about how she bagged the film, Shivani says that the makers saw one of her Tamil films and approached her for Kota Bommali. "Director Teja called me and told me about Nayattu and the changes that were being made to the remake. The moment I heard about my character, I loved it and said yes to the film right away".

Srikanth, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Rahul Vijay play key roles in the film. When asked about working with them, Shivani said, "Working with seasoned actors like Srinath and Varalaxmi was a learning experience. The cat-and-mouse game between the principal characters gave me good scope to showcase my talent."

Allu Aravind is backing Kota Bommali under his GA 2 Pictures banner. The songs have clicked with audiences and the promos have caught the imagination of everyone. Now, we just need to see how the film performs at the box office.
