The animated martial arts comedy film Kung Fu Panda 4, which debuted in March of this year, is already accessible on OTT. Yes, the fourth installment of the hit franchise is available to rent on multiple streaming platforms. You can watch the film for Rs. 299 on Prime Video and BookMyShow (HD at Rs. 999), while you can also catch it on ZEE5 (also on OTTplay Premium) at Rs. 279.

Jack Black returns as Po

Returning to his role as Po, the world's most improbable kung fu master, for the first time in nearly a decade, Jack Black stars in Kung Fu Panda 4, the fourth instalment of DreamWorks Animation's famous action-comedy franchise. After three life-or-death adventures in which he has defeated world-class foes with his unparalleled bravery and insane martial arts abilities, fate has called Dragon Warrior Po (Jack Black) to just chill down already. In particular, the spiritual community in the Valley of Peace has chosen him to be their leader.

There are a few glaring problems with that. Two things are pressing on Po's mind: first, he has extensive knowledge about paleo diets and spiritual leadership, and second, he must immediately locate and prepare a new Dragon Warrior to take over his prestigious post. Worse yet, a small lizard named Chameleon (Viola Davis) has the capacity to shapeshift into any animal, no matter how big or small. She is a wicked and powerful sorcerer. While Po defeats master villain after master villain, Chameleon sets her greedy, beety little sights on Po's Staff of Wisdom, which would grant her the power to re-summon each of them to the spirit realm.

Therefore, Po will require assistance. Zhen (Awkwafina), the cunning and fast-witted corsac fox who gets under Po's skin yet whose skills are priceless, provides him with it (sort of?). This funny odd-couple duo will need to cooperate in their mission to defend the Valley of Peace from the reptile Chameleon. Along the way, Po will learn that the most unlikely heroes are often the ones you least expect.

Stellar cast and production details

Dustin Hoffman reprises his role as Kung Fu teacher Shifu, while James Hong plays Po's adoptive father, Mr. Ping; Bryan Cranston plays Po's biological father, Li; and Ian McShane portrays Tai Lung, Shifu's former pupil and adversary. The new addition to the cast is Ke Huy Quan, who plays Han, the chief of the Den of Thieves.

Mike Mitchell helms the film, while Rebecca Huntley is the producer. Stephanie Ma Stine is one of the film's co-directors. Kung Fu Panda, which debuted in 2008, became the highest-grossing original animated film from DreamWorks Animation and began a franchise that has amassed over $1.8 billion worldwide.
