Laal Singh Chaddha actor Naga Chaitanya: Will continue to work in Bollywood only if I get acceptance there

Naga Chaitanya is all set to take Bollywood by storm with Laal Singh Chaddha, which marks his debut Hindi film. The film will see him share the screen with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Naga Chaitanya recently opened up about his future in Bollywood as well as working with Aamir on the film.

In conversation with The Indian Express, the actor said that working with Aamir was a ‘dream come true’. Speaking of Aamir’s work ethic, Naga Chaitanya said that the former was a good mentor, who never put any demands on the actors to perform a certain way. Instead, actors would be able to learn a lot about the whole process of acting just by spending time with Aamir. Naga Chaitanya said that he too was able to learn a lot from Aamir and that it was an exciting feeling to be a part of a film that had a star as talented as Aamir.

On his character in the film, Naga Chaitanya said that he was playing an Army officer, who befriends Aamir’s character. The former said that he was eager to see how Hindi audiences would receive his Bollywood debut. “I will continue to work in Bollywood only if I get acceptance there”, added Naga Chaitanya.

Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan, will hit the big screens on August 11. The upcoming film, which is the Hindi adaptation of Robert Zemeckis’ Academy Award winning film Forrest Gump(1994), also stars Mona Singh in a pivotal role. The film was produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios.

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya was recently seen in Vikram Kumar’s Thank You, which released in theatres on Friday. The actor’s upcoming releases include a bilingual film helmed by Venkat Prabhu, as well as the Amazon Prime Video web series Dootha.
