Actor Anshuman Jha is producing his third film Lakadbaggha under his banner First Ray Films. He recently spoke about how his production house stands out from the crowd.

Anshuman said, "First Ray Films is a startup with the idea of making high-concept films. It encourages telling interesting stories. We made social media thriller films like Mona Darling and then a homosexual love story, Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele that was released on Disney+ Hotstar."

The production house has two more films in the pipeline apart from Lakadbaggha - Hari Om and Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, starring Arjun Mathur and Rasika Dugal - slated to release this year.

Anshuman further said, "We want to do good work and push the envelope constantly, jise kehte hai auqat ke bahar ja ke kaam kare, kyunki we are working on some great scripts. So, even before we started sending the script to people to approach for the project, we knew that Jean-Marc Selva will be the DOP, Simon Fransquet will do the music for the film and an international artiste will design the stunts for Lakadbaggha. The idea is to invest in the vision of the story and then we want to work with people to implement the vision."

Coming from a non-film background after doing theatre extensively, Anshuman went through a lot of struggle to find his space in the film industry as an actor. Keeping this in mind, the actor started his own production company to launch new talent.

He added, "I think it is also my time to give back to society and that's why at the end of this year we will launch new actors with a new film. Those who deserve opportunities should get them."

Lakadbaggha is releasing on January 13 in theatres.
