Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan recently found himself at the receiving end of the wrath of the fans of Thalapathy Vijay. Reason: Vignesh accidentally liked a tweet, spreading unverified information about the relationship between Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Upon realising the mistake, Vignesh quickly reacted to rectify the faux pas by issuing a detailed clarification. Now, Lokesh has reacted to Vignesh's unconditional apology, suggesting that no love has been lost between them. "Chill bro," Lokesh wrote in response to Vignesh's tweet.

Vignesh Shivan's innocent mistake

Recently, Vignesh came under heavy fire for linking the tweet that alleged a falling out between Lokesh and Vijay following the release of Naa Ready song. The tweet also suggested that the actor-director duo were not on talking terms.

And Vignesh liked the tweet without paying attention to its contents. He later clarified saying, "I jus liked seeing Loki bro’s image in the interview, like the same way I saw a shot of Nayan in a video clip where she had performed brilliantly and it was one of my fav shots so instantly liked that tweet also …. My bad ! I didn’t even see the video inside or read the tweet involved in both the cases ! Should have been careful ! Sorry," explained Vignesh on X, which was formerly Twitter.

In the tweet, Vignesh also professed his love for Thalapathy Vijay and his admiration for Lokesh's storytelling prowess. "...waiting to see the blockbuster movie on 19th October with the same excitement as ya’ll !," Vignesh added while profusely apologising to fans of Vijay.

Lokesh is now busy with the promotions of Leo as it's set to hit the worldwide screens on October 19. In the meantime, Vijay has moved on to his next project, which is helmed by Venkat Prabhu.
