Action thrillers are indeed never going out of fashion, and the audience will never stop loving them. While John Wicks and Expandables of the World have dominated the mainstream spotlight in the genre, some indie filmmakers have been redefining the genre in the same space. One such filmmaker is Steven C. Miller. With films like The Aggression Scale, Escape Plan 2: Hades, and Marauders, Miller has impressed fans across the world. However, one movie that saw mixed reception but was still appreciated by his loyal fans is Line Of Duty. Released in 2019, the movie is about to have a new life on streaming as it is getting another digital release in India.

Line Of Duty on Lionsgate Play

Line Of Duty will have a second inning on digital as it is set to release on Lionsgate Play in India. The streamer has been serving many films that have had their theatrical and digital premieres again on their platform. In the past few days, they have released Dream Scenario, and Copshop, and are about to release Adrift, Wanted Man, and even Love Island UK Season 9. Line Of Duty now joins the list, and below is all you need to know about the same.

Line Of Duty stars Aaron Eckhart as a disgraced cop who goes rogue and finds himself in a race against time as he now has to find a kidnapped victim after accidentally killing the abductor. The film also stars Courtney Eaton, Jessica Lu, Dina Meyer, Ben McKenzie, and Giancarlo Esposito. The movie features high-octane action sequences and drama that entertain audiences on the big screen.

Aaron Eckhart on His Role

“Frank is that quintessential Hollywood down-and-out cop; he’s been through it and he’s a little rough around the edges,” Aaron Eckhart tells EW about the part. “He’s had some upsetting incidents in his career and during his life, and he’s sort of recovering from all that. He’s sort of been demoted to the footbeat, and he’s on the corner talking to his constituents, and then it all breaks loose.”

“The whole premise of the film is that the police captain’s daughter has been taken hostage and is going to be killed. There’s a time limit, and Frank has to find all the clues and put them together so he can find the girl and save her. So he redeems himself; it’s that classic down-and-out cop who has to redeem himself, and by the end, hopefully, all is good afterward,” he added.

Line Of Duty will stream on Lionsgate Play and can be seen with your OTTplay Premium subscription. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
