Ronald Neame directed and Irwin Allen produced The Poseidon Adventure, a 1972 catastrophe film based on Paul Gallico's 1969 book of the same name. With Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, Jack Albertson, Shelley Winters, and Red Buttons among its ensemble cast, it boasts five Oscar winners.

The fictional SS Poseidon, a luxury liner on her final journey from New York City to Athens, serves as the focal point of the story. On the first day of the new year, a tsunami flips it over. A preacher tries to rescue a few people among the stranded passengers and crew.

Titanic (Disney+ Hotstar)

Witness the spectacular triumph that was Titanic, the 1997 blockbuster that swept the box office and took home eleven Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Song (My Heart Will Go On). On the first trip of the "unsinkable" R.M.S. Titanic, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet shine as Jack and Rose, two young lovers who meet. However, their intense romance turns into a nail-biting struggle for survival when the luxury liner that is bound for disaster crashes on an iceberg in the freezing North Atlantic. The legendary James Cameron directed an unforgettable film about forbidden love and survival in the face of adversity. Bernard Hill, Gloria Stuart, David Warner, Victor Garber, Bill Paxton, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher, Jonathan Hyde, Danny Nucci, and Billy Zane all made appearances in the film.

Deep Rising (MX Player)

Stephen Sommers penned and directed the 1998 action horror film Deep Rising, which featured Treat Williams, Famke Janssen, and Anthony Heald. Despite the film's critical and commercial failures, it is now considered a cult masterpiece. In the South Pacific, man-eating marine animals foil a band of armed hijackers' looting plot aboard a luxury cruise ship.

Speed 2: Cruise Control (Disney+ Hotstar and Prime Video [on rent])

Jan de Bont produced and directed the action thriller Speed 2: Cruise Control in 1997, while Randall McCormick and Jeff Nathanson wrote the screenplay. Jason Patric and Willem Dafoe join Sandra Bullock, Jason Patric, and Sandra Bullock in this sequel to 1994's Speed.

The plot of Cruise Control revolves around a couple named Annie and Alex, played by Bullock and Patricia, respectively. Dafoe's villain, Geiger, kidnaps the ship while they are on a Caribbean vacation. After learning that the ship is preprogrammed to strike an oil tanker, Annie and Alex, who are confined inside it, collaborate with the first officer to attempt to avert the disaster.

Poseidon (Prime Video on Rent)

Wolfgang Petersen directed and co-produced the 2006 action-disaster film Poseidon. It is a loose recreation of the 1972 film and the third cinematic version of Paul Gallico's 1969 novel, The Poseidon Adventure. The main actors are Kurt Russell, Josh Lucas, and Richard Dreyfuss, while the supporting cast includes Emmy Rossum, Jacinda Barrett, Mike Vogel, Mía Maestro, Jimmy Bennett, and Andre Braugher.

A rogue wave capsizes a luxury cruise liner in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, forcing the few survivors to fight for their lives alongside some strange allies. The survivors must confront insurmountable obstacles and make life-changing choices as the shaky ship rapidly sinks under the waves.

Dil Dhadakne Do (Netflix and Prime Video)

Excel Entertainment's Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar produced the 2015 comedy-drama Dil Dhadakne Do, while Zoya Akhtar directed it. Set on a cruise, Dil Dhadakne Do follows a dysfunctional Punjabi family as they navigate the high seas. Ranveer Singh's character, Kabir, hails from an affluent background and grew up in the business world as the son of an entrepreneur. The plot turns around, though, because he has an interest in blueprints and hopes to fly planes someday. He encounters Farah (Anushka Sharma), who faces a variety of challenges due to this disparity. She is a young woman who ran away from her family so she could pursue her passion for dance. Eventually, she meets Kabir, who makes everything right in his otherwise dreadful life. People often consider Priyanka Chopra to be Ranveer's sister. While on the trip, she plays the role of an ambitious entrepreneur married to Rahul Bose; however, Farhan provides a third perspective on the unhealthy relationship between Priyanka and Rahul.

Branagh and Tom Bateman reprise their roles as Hercule Poirot and Bouc, respectively.

When a honeymoon gone wrong interrupts the idyllic trip of a newlywed couple, Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) transforms a river boat holiday in Egypt into a murder investigation. Agatha Christie's novel adapts this story of passion and envy, taking a series of dark turns until it reaches its terrible climax.
