The world wasn't prepared so soon to see Hugh Jackman come to terms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and decide that he would come back as the mighty Wolverine and end up making his MCU debut. If that was any less exciting, he is all set to meet Deadpool in the Multiverse saga with Deadpool & Wolverine where they together set out to save the world. If even that doesn't excite you, he is also a part of the Avengers' future project as the X-Men now enter the MCU in a much bigger way. And if all of this has left you restless, trust us, nothing can. So when there is so much of Hugh waiting on the other end of the spectrum you are of course obsessed with him and only him at the moment; sorry Ryan Reynolds. And that leaves you with the craving for Jackman content to ease the anticipation a bit down.

Deadpool & Wolverine is still a month and a half away from its release. The film will hit the big screen on July 26, 2024. The advance bookings are now open and Marvel Studios has been dropping many promotional bits from the film. This has certainly added more to the buzz that was already beyond the loudest. So it is given that almost all of us fans are not being able to keep calm, and actually, we don't want to. What we rather want is to devour some Hugh Jackman content real quick so we can ease that anticipation a bit down.

So we thought to compile a list of films starring Hugh Jackman to recommend to you so you can watch them over the week or month however you like. These movies have been made by some of the most prolific directors including the Dune fame Denis Villeneuve. So watch and prep for Deadpool & Wolverine which is not that far from now.

A slice-of-life film, Butter finds its hero in a man who has been winning a competition for 15 years. The competition is butter carving and he has aced it for a decade and a half. When he decides to step down, his wife Laura takes over and wants to take the legacy ahead. But her enemy here is destiny and roadblocks occur. What will happen when the robots take over and rule us? Chappie is a film that shows the first step where robots are the assigned cops who are stationed to bring order to a city. Real Steel (2011)

Streaming on: SonyLIV

Director: Shawn Levy

This is interesting, not because it is another robot movie, but it is directed by Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy. In this world where Charlie, played by Jackman, is a prizefighter, he is defeated by the robots who have entered the ring. He now sees the rock bottom where he is set to assemble low fighters with scrapped metal. One day he decides to rise above his conditions, teams up with his son Max, and trains a robot fighter to win the match and bring him redemption.

Prisoners (2013)

Streaming on: Lionsgate Play

Director: Denis Villeneuve

Cast: Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Paul Dano.

A legendary director and some prolific actors came together and made a suspense thriller like no other. A father goes through a nightmare when his 6-year-old daughter and her friend go missing. There is no proof other than a motorhome left midway. Detective Loki arrests a driver who is the key suspect but releases him when he cannot prove his claim. Soon the father has to take things into his own hands and the movie flourishes in the direction you least expect.

Van Helsing (2004)

Streaming on: Netflix

Director: Stephen Sommers

Monster slayer Gabriel Van Helsing, played by Hugh, is sent to Transylvania to assist the last of the Valerious and help them defeat Count Dracula. Anna Valerious reveals that Dr. Frankenstein is now with Dracula and is hell-bent on exacting a curse on her family. The movie is about Ana and Gabriel joining forces to kill their common enemy but also about a whole lot that is hidden behind the layers.
