Lokesh Kanagaraj releases an adrenaline-pumping promo video from Kamal Haasan's Vikram

All the big ticket Tamil films which have released this year fell short of expectations in one way or the other. All eyes are on Lokesh Kanagaraj's action flick Vikram now, which stars Kamal Haasan in the lead. The movie has been carrying massive buzz ever since it was announced by the director in 2020.

Lokesh has now released a one-minute promo video of the project on the occasion of its stunt choreographers Anbarvi's birthday falling today. It has the National Award-winning action choreographer duo seen giving instructions to Kamal, Lokesh and cinematographer Girish Gangadharan.

The adrenaline-pumping video offers a glimpse into what the audience can expect from the full-fledged action movie which marks the return of Kamal to the silver screen after a four-year hiatus. The promo features various weapons, including several kinds of guns, a collided auto rickshaw and an array of burning vehicles that include jeeps and cars of different models and shapes.

Fans of Kamal are already excited about the first single, Pathala Pathala, from the movie which is slated to release later today. Anirudh had come up with multiple tweets expressing excitement over the song's release. The song has been written and sung by Kamal himself.

Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Arjun Das, Antony Varghese, Kalidas and Shivani Narayanan among others play crucial roles in Vikram which marks Lokesh's fourth directorial project after Maanagaram (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), Kaithi (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) and Master (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). 

Philomin Raj has edited Vikram which will be released by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu. The makers had recently announced that Disney+ Hotstar has bagged the film's digital rights. The movie is expected to drop on the OTT platform after a month of its theatrical release on June 3.
