Sam Anton and Atharvaa are teaming up for the second time after 100

It was announced a few months ago that Atharvaa and Sam Anton are joining hands again for Trigger, an action film which revolves around father-son bonding. The makers also released its first look teaser which has the actor sporting a never-before-seen action avatar. The actor-filmmaker duo earlier worked together for 100 (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which released in 2019.
The team has now dropped a new poster of the film on the occasion of Atharvaa's birthday today. Dressed in a stylish blazer, the actor looks suave sporting a goggle and holding a gun with two hands.
Prateek Chakravorty and Shruti Nallappa are jointly bankrolling the film under Pramod Films and Miracle Movies. PS Mithran has penned dialogues for the film which has cinematography by Krishnan Vasant and music by Ghibran. Ruben is in charge of editing while Dhilip Subbarayan is at the helm of action sequences.
Azhar and Rajesh are handling dance choreography and art direction respectively for Trigger which is expected to release in theatres later this year. Tanya Ravichandran plays the female lead in the film which has Arun Pandian essaying a crucial character.
Atharvaa was last seen in Thalli Pogathey (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) his first release during the pandemic era. He has Kuruthi Aattam, Address and Othaikku Oththa in his kitty. He started shooting for Karthick Naren's Nirangal Moondru recently along with Sarath Kumar and Rahman.
Trigger is Sam Anton's fifth directorial project after Darling, Enakku Innoru Per Irukku (streaming on Zee5), Gurkha (streaming on aha Tamil and Amazon Prime Video) and 100. The filmmaker was in the news recently when he rubbished comparisons between his Gurkha and Vijay-starrer Beast in terms of the similarity in their plot.
