Apart from Mammootty, Christopher also has Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sneha and Vinay Rai in pivotal roles
Mammootty has been shuttling from sets to sets this year. He already has completed three films and a segment in an anthology that are yet to release, and now he’s added one more to the list with B Unnikrishnan’s Christopher.
The megastar completed his portions in the film on Friday and had posted a message on social media, saying that it was “great filming with B Unnikrishnan and team”. The filmmaker, who had previously directed Mohanlal in Aaraattu, also put up a post, writing that “it was magical filming him” and thanked Mammootty for the work.
The movie has the actor playing the role of a vigilante cop. Mammootty had shot for the big budget film, which is scripted by Udaykrishna, over the past two months. Apart from the star, the movie also has Sneha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Amala Paul, Vinay Rai, Dileesh Pothan, Jinu Joseph, Siddique and Shine Tom Chacko in pivotal roles.
The team has been sharing posters of Mammootty’s look in the film, which is touted to be an investigative thriller that will also have realistic ‘mass’ elements that would appeal to the megastar’s fans. The movie’s cinematography is by Faiz Siddik, while Thaneer Mathan Dinangal and Joji music director Justin Varghese will be composing its tunes.
Meanwhile, Mammootty’s next release will be Nissam Basheer’s thriller titled Rorschach. The film, which has him essaying a character named Luke Anthony, is expected to hit theatres in the second week of October. The movie is also produced by the megastar under his banner Mammootty Kampany. Sharafudheen, Grace Antony, Jagadish, Bindhu Panicker and Kottayam Nazir will be seen essaying pivotal roles in the film, scripted by Adventures of Omanakuttan writer Sameer Abdul.
Mammootty has also wrapped up shooting for Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, which is expected to have run at film festivals before its release. He is also part of Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming Telugu movie Agent and had completed shooting for Ranjith’s segment in Netflix anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories.
