Mehreen Pirzada, who shot to fame with Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gadha, has worked on several hit films in Telugu including F2: Fun and Frustration, F3, Raja The Great and Mahanubhavudu, to name a few. Nearly a year after her last Telugu release, she’s returning with Spark, a pan-Indian film, starring Vikranth, who has also written the story, screenplay and directed it.

The teaser launch of the event was held in Hyderabad yesterday. “I can’t choose between the actor and the director in Vikranth - both are equally important for a film. It’s been so long for us to be here and Spark is a special film for me. I’m very happy to be a part of it. I’m honoured to be a part of Vikranth’s debut film and the co-stars of the first project are always close to one’s heart and I’m thrilled to have been a part of his journey. “

The actress said she could see a lot of ‘spark’ in the film already; Vikranth has done a wonderful job and has worked so hard on it. “I still remember the day I came on board for Spark last January. Leela Reddy has been a wonderful producer and she took good care of us. We in fact missed her presence on sets after the initial days. I’m honoured to have associated with Guru Somasundaram in his Telugu debut. I’m sure you’ll remember me for it.”

“Hesham Abdul Wahab has given some beautiful songs and I’ll reserve a few words about the music for the audio launch. I’m spellbound by the teaser and actually nervous now. I didn’t expect it to explode so much in the first go. Though I and Rukshar don’t have any scenes together, I’m glad we could be a part of the project. This is just the beginning for Vikranth,” she added.
