Merry Men 3 is ready to arrive on OTT, after its cross-country theatrical run. The film will feature Nigerian actor-cum-comedien Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY Makun, who also released its trailer.
Merry Men 3: Nemesis is the latest addition to the Nigerian film franchise Merry Men, which began back in 2018, with Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons. The film premiered at theatres across the country on October 13 and is now finally ready for its OTT debut.
When and where to watch it on OTT?
Directed by Moses Inwang and produced by Darlington Abuda, Merry Men 3 will stream on Netflix on January 18, 2024. Merry Men was an action-comedy thriller that followed the escapades of four of Abuja’s most eligible bachelors who run thriving businesses and even from commitment faster.
But that is not their main goal. The film franchise’s eponymous title refers to the four friends stealing from the powerful people, by either seducing women or charming men in power, to help the poor.
From fast cars to mansions and penthouses, to models and bombshells, the four-men gang make their way through life, happy with their violent charity deal, as long as they get to maintain their hedonistic lifestyle.
But by the time Merry Men 3 rolls around, the four men have tempered down a lot, though deep down they still yearn for the same thrill and feel of adventure that the pleasure-seeking, outlaw-like lifestyle gave them.
But the film will show a new villain arise, Dafe, who seeks revenge from the Merry Men gang for being left behind in Russia in a mission. He also hunts down corrupt politicians and believes the group failed in its actual duties.
Now, the Merry Men must buckle up for a battle unlike any before, when they rush to prove their innocence and battle enemies with a target on their back after they are accused of the murder of a prominent figure.
