Naane Varuven first look: Dhanush carries an intense look in the latest poster

The first look of the upcoming Dhanush starrer Naane Varuven is out. Makers of the psychological entertainer took to social media to share the amazing update of the star in a fierce avatar. The ‘Vada Chennai’ star has also commenced filming along with director Selvaraghavan from today.

In the latest poster, Dhanush can be seen donning a letter jacket along with a cowboy hat while holding a sharp rifle on his shoulder. You can also see him sharing an intense and brooding expression, who looks like he is getting down to do something deadly. From the looks of it, we can expect to see the Asuran star engaging in some hunting activities in the upcoming project.

Dhanush earlier wrapped up the filming for Maaran, before entering the sets of Naane Varuven, today. Production for the upcoming psychological thriller was earlier slated to go down in August, but was postponed on account of the star’s packed-up movie schedules.

Naane Varuven marks the reunion of director Selva Raghavan and Dhanush after their last outing, Mayakkam Enna. It has been nearly a decade since the latter came out in theatres. The duo earlier created magic with movies like Kadhal Konden and Pudhupettai. The director always made sure to design the star’s character in every movie in a unique and exceptional manner, which stands out.

Their next interesting venture includes the sequel to the critically acclaimed Aayirathil Oruvan, for which the first look was brought out by Selvaraghavan some time back. The film has been slated to release in 2024. Dhanush has been touted to portray the role of the Chola Prince, who was earlier on the run along with Karthi in the first part. Confirmation on whether the latter will also make an appearance in the movie is yet to be finalised.
