Details regarding Shweta Tiwari's role in Indian Police Force are being kept under wraps as she prepares for its release. Rohit Shetty announced the casting of the actor in the web series as well as in his upcoming film, Singham Again, at the trailer launch of the series. The film also features Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Deepika Padukone. In the movie, Shweta plays the role of an intelligence officer.

Shweta Tiwari's mystery role

During the press conference, Shweta said that Rohit had promised her another project, provided she could secure meals on the Indian Police Force set every day. But he proposed his next film without any of that. The actor went on to say that belonging to the Cop Universe is an honour in and of itself, reflecting on her time working on the Amazon Prime original series. When his team called, she was ecstatic. When asked if she would like to be a part of it, Shweta enthusiastically responded yes! The actor flat-out refused to listen to her character when they asked whether she wanted to do it first. It's alright; she is tackling it. During Khatron Ke Khiladi, she had her first encounter with Rohit. The filmmaker frightened her when she was younger, and he still terrifies her to this day. But on set, he put everyone at ease.

Shweta continued by saying that one has no idea if he's joking or not when he speaks to them. "Tu late aayi?" he asks if people are running behind schedule. Rohit could be asking someone a question or scolding them, and people have no idea which one it is. After that, he'll bring it up again and again. "This is happening because Shweta came late," he would declare, even when he was drawing a blank.

Breaking TV stereotypes

Despite receiving more respect than their film counterparts, TV actors frequently speak out against the prejudice they encounter on set. However, the sets of Indian Police Force did not see any of that. According to Shweta, Rohit was always very cheerful. The other actors in the film will frequently point out that one is a TV actor. However, the production team treated every actor on this set with the utmost dignity. It was a pleasure collaborating with him and his team because of that. On this set, everyone did scenes with everyone, in contrast to the performers, who often claim they dislike rehearsing.

Above all, Shweta emphasises that Rohit's crew rehearses before they go on camera, illuminating Rohit's way of working. They developed a complex because of how good they were. When he has his team practice for the camera, they absolutely rip it. One starts to question their ability to keep up with them. The way his crew performs and delivers lines is really superb, and belonging to his series and the cop universe was a privilege.

Releasing on January 19, 2024, Indian Police Force features Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Vivek Oberoi, and Isha Talwar.
