The Oscars 2024 has turned out to be a fireball meanwhile. The event has seen protests, with Billie Eilish walking with a pin asking for a ceasefire, and John Cena walking on the stage naked. Robert Downey Jr. won the first-ever Oscar of his career. But amidst all of that, and just when we thought we'd seen everything powerful and strong, Ryan Gosling casually decided to paint the world pink in a hot pink suit, where he just casually ended up performing one of the most loved songs of 2023, "I’m Just Ken," from his box office monster movie Barbie, which starred Margot Robbie as the titular doll. We are unable to process the charm that he has left on the stage, and the world seems better now.

Ryan Gosling Brings His Kenergy

If you have tuned in to the Oscars and are watching the gala, you exactly know what we are talking about. The biggest award night of the year just witnessed a performance that is sure to garner much praise as it grows on the world. Ryan Gosling, the star who plays Ken in Barbie, performed his character song from the movie on stage titled "I’m Just Ken." The actor appeared from the crowd in a hot pink suit, and the audience cheered as he revealed his face that was hidden under a hat.

In the audience, we saw him sit near co-star Margot Robbie, and their chemistry for those few seconds felt magical. He moved towards the stage, joined by dancers as they all danced in sync while Ryan Gosling continued to sing the song. But no one was prepared for what followed, as the actor was joined by Shang-Chi star Simu Liu. He was also a part of the movie and played Ken too. The performance led to a thundering response from the audience who stood up in awe of the star.

About Best Songs At Oscars

"I’m Just Ken" was also nominated for Best Song at the Oscars, alongside another song from the movie, "What Am I Made For" by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell, which took the trophy home. Others on the list were "Wahzhazhe" from Killers Of The Flower Moon, and "It Never Went Away" from American Symphony. Turns out it was Barbie who had to win.
