What is Parasyte: The Grey all about?

Set in modern day South Korea, a mysterious alien parasitic attack leaves humans grappling with their instincts, identity, and control over body. Su In, like the original manga protagonist manages to stave off the alien from reaching her brain, quite unknowingly. However, while Izumi had the parasite burrowed in his right hand, Su In must co-exist with it in her right eye.

Like the original Parasyte hero, Su In will have to find a way to co-exist with her alien counterpart, without losing either her I (self) or eye. Both need the other to survive, and nothing better than a friendly alliance to survive an apocalyptic world, while discussing the philosophies of humanity, mortality, and hierarchy of creatures in the universe.

It is expected that Su In will have to face double the number of conflicts faced by Izumi, as she will not only be up against parasite-controlled humans who are ready to devour her for her human consciousness.

She will also have to convince the leader of Team Gray, Jun Kyung, who is unfazed at the thought of massacring anything that takes over the bodies of humans. Parasyte: The Grey’s title further highlights the significance of Team Grey in the show, an active resistance group that fights against the mysterious parasites that live off humans.
