Actress and anchor Pearle Maaney and her husband Srinish Aravind announced they are expecting their second child through a hilarious YouTube video. The video, which was released on Pearle’s page, has already racked up over 2M views and its content is synonymous with the delightful couple.

The video had the character Sumalatha aunty, a nosy neighbour played by Pearle herself, barging into their home, stuffing Srinish with sweets and asking probing questions to the family – before breaking the big news by herself and leaving no space or privacy for the couple. In a way, it also served as a reminder of how things work on social media, where the former Bigg Boss contestants are the most active.

Pearle also took to her social media page on Thursday to announce the news that she’s three months pregnant. “We are happy to share this beautiful news with you… we are expecting baby no. 2. Need all your blessings,” she wrote.

The couple, who got married a year after meeting each other during the first edition of Bigg Boss Malayalam, had their first child, Nila Srinish, in 2021. Pearle, who had starred in the Bollywood film Ludo along with Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, was also part of Ajith Kumar’s Valimai last year. Recently, she’s been active with content creation on social media as well as her own YouTube page, which has 2.6M subscribers.

Earlier this month, there was an IT raid related to a tax evasion complaint at the houses of prominent YouTube content creators in Kerala including Pearle Maaney. “Recently, there was an IT raid in my house… later I found out… They watched LUDO on Netflix and thought my character Sheeja was real… #watchLudoOnNetflix you will get the joke,” the actress had posted, on her social media page.
