Alia Bhatt, an entrepreneur, actor, and producer, joins Amazon Video as an executive producer for the QC Entertainment-produced Amazon Original Series Poacher, set to premiere on Prime Video soon. The series uncovers the largest ivory poaching ring in Indian history. In an unprecedented effort to shed focus on a pressing worldwide issue—illegal poaching—the series unites the realms of entertainment and environmental protection.

Produced, written, and directed by Emmy-winning director Richie Mehta, the series features an ensemble cast that includes Roshan Mathew, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Nimisha Sajayan. On February 23, Poacher will make its exclusive streaming debut on Prime Video. The series will have a primary release in Malayalam, Hindi, and English.

Alia Bhatt's commitment to environmental advocacy

Alia, an internationally acclaimed artist, is also well-known for her advocacy work in the fields of environmental protection and sustainable development. Her role as executive producer for Poacher through her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, demonstrates her faith in the story and her determination to give a voice to those without one.

Being a part of this tremendously important series is a privilege for her and the whole crew at Eternal Sunshine Productions. Alia Bhatt spoke of being Poacher's executive producer. The series had an extremely personal effect on her and the crew, and Richie's depiction of the critical problem of wildlife crime struck a chord.

Knowing that the story is based on true occurrences that highlight the horrible atrocities happening in the woods made the storytelling all the more impactful. Alia has faith that Poacher will be a wake-up call, sending a strong message to treat all living things with greater kindness and compassion. She is really excited to be working with Richie, QC, and Prime Video on this story and thinks it's a call to accept cohabitation.

Acknowledgment of Alia Bhatt's involvement

QC leaders Hamm, Mansfield, and McKittrick emphasised the importance of treating it with the utmost care and thoughtfulness by saying that it's a dream come true to have Alia aboard Poacher. Not only is she a brilliant actor, but she has also demonstrated herself to be a generous philanthropist, using her prestigious position for good causes. She is doing her part to bring attention to the show's critical themes through her participation in this series. Their interdependence as a species and as a planet is the most fundamental of these truths.

Edward H. Hamm Jr., Raymond Mansfield, and Sean McKittrick of QC Entertainment are executive producers of Poacher. Suitable Pictures, Poor Man's Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions are also involved. In addition to editor Beverley Mills and composer Andrew Lockington, Delhi Crime's Director of Photography, Johan Aidt, is also on the crew.
