Pradeep Ranganathan shot to fame when the Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal starrer Comali came out two years back. The comic caper saw the director also make a brief appearance in the movie’s climax. This time, he is all set to star in his own movie.

According to the latest reports, the director-turned-actor will be starring as the protagonist in the film. The pre-production of the yet-to-be-titled movie is currently going on. The team is currently on the look to finalise the supporting cast of the movie and its crew. An official announcement of the movie is expected to be made soon. If things go well, fans of Pradeep can see him headlining as the star.

It has been two years since Jayam Ravi’s Comali was released. The movie grabbed a lot of eyeballs, especially for its enthralling storyline that featured a new concept. The idea of a young boy picking up from where he left off after a coma was intriguing and entertaining to watch. We saw Pradeep Ranganathan appear in the brief role of an auto driver who helps Jayam Ravi board a pregnant woman to the hospital during heavy floods. It also contained an important message that you can catch on Disney+Hotstar.

Let's have a look at one of the tracks of Comali.

After Comali’s much deserving success, we hadn’t heard a peep on Pradeep Ranganathan’s upcoming projects or directorial ventures. Probably, because he was busy preparing for his big debut as an actor with this upcoming venture, which is touted to be backed by KE Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green.

Further information on the film is awaited.
