Prajwal Devaraj's action-thriller Mafia gears up for a January 2023 release

Prajwal Devaraj's 35th film Mafia has already piqued the public's interest with the rivetting teaser. Aside from Prajwal's intense cop avatar, the film's premise has also contributed to the audience's curiosity as they keenly look forward to watching the film on the big screen. And now, according to the latest reports, the makers of Mafia are currently engrossed in the final leg of the production and have, in fact, set a release date for the film.

Yes, the same reports reveal that Mafia is gearing up for January, 2023 release and that the shooting of the film is almost complete. The team, led by Lohith H. of Mummy and Devaki fame, has ensured that the film's main storyline and other details remain under wraps but the posters and other promotional material released so far do indicate an exciting action-thriller in store. Prajwal Devaraj, who was last seen playing a police officer in the 2021 film Inspector Vikram, will be seen sporting a new look in Mafia which has already charmed his fans. 

Aditi Prabhudeva plays the female lead in the film and will be essaying the role of an investigative journalist. The actress had previously expressed joy over getting to play a novel character and the fact that her role in the film has a definite bearing on the plot. This will be Aditi Prabhudeva's first on-screen collaboration with Prajwal Devaraj.

The cast of Mafia also includes Bigg Boss Kannada Season 7 winner Shine Shetty who plays the role of a fellow police officer to Prajwal Devaraj's character. Shine joined the sets back in June and is said to have played a key role in the scheme of things.
